Isidro Fainé, president of Banking Foundation ”la Caixa” Banking Foundation; David K. P. Li, president of The Bank of East Asia Charitable Foundation Limited, and Ian Swan, officer commanding of The Salvation Army Hong Kong, today signed a cooperation agreement to promote the Comprehensive Care Programme for People with Advanced Illnesses in Hong Kong.

The Comprehensive Care Programme for People with Advanced Illnesses provides health and psychosocial care for patients and relatives, as well as raising awareness about palliative care, its culture and the service it does for society.

The programme will be strengthened in Hong Kong thanks to cooperation between ”la Caixa” Banking Foundation, the BEA Foundation and The Salvation Army Hong Kong.

Isidro Fainé, president of ”la Caixa” Banking Foundation, noted that: “We make a significant contribution to providing comprehensive care for people in difficult circumstances. Among such people, those in the final stages of their life are a high priority. Just as we provide this care in Spain, we want to enable this commitment to cross borders”.
